Easy-to-Use Timeline Tool

I’ve been looking for an easy-to-use Timeline Tool for a long time. The Knight Labs Timeline Tool might be just the ticket. I’m hoping to re-work some of my existing timelines soon. The major advantage of this tool is its easy integration of images and video media. Of course, the downside of this is that I need to spend some time locating appropriate images.

The technical stuff. It’s implemented entirely in the browser with JQuery, so accessibility may be an issue. You can use hosted versions of the files, so you don’t need to download anything. Source data is stored in JSON format, which is a bit challenging, but they also provide a Google docs spreadsheet template. I think I would probably write a quick script to convert the spreadsheet to JSON format so that I don’t have to store my data on Google docs. A WordPress plugin is supposedly on the way.
